So, Christmas came early again for me in the form of a new camera that I have been wanting I think since I was a fetus. Okay, so maybe that is an exageration... but at least for a couple of years. It is the most freakin' awesome camera I have ever had...a Nikon D40 with two lenses! I am so excited. Tomorrow I am taking my Aunt and Uncle's family pictures, but I couldn't wait till then to start experimenting with my new toy. So these pictures may be boring to you, but they are super exciting to me. It snowed last night...we were supposed to get a foot of snow, but in Utah valley we only got a couple of inches. Anyway, it is all sunny and pretty this morning, and I thought this was a good excuse to try out my camera.

BEAUT-EE-OUS! I appreciate pictures A LOT in my old age.. so I think those ARE exciting :) I love that you can see every little hair on the cats and I love the Christmas lights that are in focus with the blurred background.. SO COOL. Nikon cameras are B-I-T-C-H-I-N. Do you mind if I swear on your blog? Sorry 'bout that..
Merry Christmas to YOU! More pics, please!! As long as this one doesn't fall off a table, you're in bidnass. :)
Wow! That is an awesome camera! I think it's pretty exciting because I've been extremely frustrated with my dinky little digital cameras for quite a while now. I've never used a professional-type camera... I don't even know the terminology. But I think I want to start learning! Your pictures are beautiful and something I'd really like to be able to do myself. The detail I could see in your pictures is AMAZING! What is the shutter time? I mean, how long from clicking 'till the picture is taken? Would it work well for toddlers who move a lot? Or does the subject have to hold really still? For all I know, Chuck is a lot calmer than my little rascals. Any pointers?
