Lots and Lots

I was just going through my little point and shoot camera and found a whole bunch of choice photos that I never shared with you. Thus and hence forth and here after thats what this blog is dedicated to.

First off lets take our time machine back to December when I was taking my aunt and uncle's family pictures . I took the girls all over town picking out what they were going to wear in the pictures. This first one in my cousin, Mary. She really wanted everyone to wear these totally fabulous head bands...I had to convince her otherwise...thats why she doesn't look so happy. Sorry Mary...maybe next year you can wear a head warmer.
Then Emma (front right) and her friends found these terrific accessories...but we decided to go a different direction.
Then, this last week my brother had to have surgery on his ACL. He ripped it when he went off a jump, caught a lot of air and landed on a flat spot. He actually did a lot more than just tare his ACL. He tore is ACL and meniscus in his left knee, broke his fibula, sprained his ankle, and bruised his meniscus in his right leg. So, needless to say, he is pretty jacked up all around. My dad flew up this week to be up here with Derek when he had surgery, so we did a lot of driving between our house and Park City this week. I took these pictures right before Derek went into surgery, when they were doing all the check in stuff. It wasn't that excited about me taking pictures, but he was a good sport. His surgery went well, and he is at home recovering.

My dad didn't want to waist a perfectly good trip to Utah and not go skiing, so he brought his skis along and we went to Park City Mountain the day after Derek had surgery. The snow was amazing, and there weren't that many people on the slops. Derek hooked us up with free tickets, we went for a half day and had a blast.

Those are some choice pictures! :) Your dad couldn't look any happier to be out there skiing and Derek looks pretty darn funny with his little hat thing on! We're glad he's doing well. We figured you'd be busy with the surgery so we were hoping you would come to a party for Cam when Patti and Chris come to visit in a couple of weeks (then we can have a GOOD time!)

Poor Derek! ouch! I would not want to see that boys medical chart. It must be as thick as a dictionary!

That snow makes me jealous that I'm not in Utah. Derek's knee, on the other hand, does not. Poor kid. Make him eat lots of jello. It's the quickest route to recovery.
