This last week I got to go back to California one last time before little Jack joins us for a baby shower. My good friends Val and Glenna threw it for me, and it was the most perfect, fun, and glorious shower an expecting mother could ask for. It was at Glenna's house, the same house where my wedding reception was. And to top everything off...for those of you who remember the gorgeous flowers at my reception...the same lady who arranged those, volunteered to do more flowers at the baby shower. She is amazingly talented, and if it's possible, made Glenna's house even more beautiful with all her flower arrangements. And I think most of the flowers were found around the neighborhood by generous neighbors.
Val made this adorable diaper cake. I unfortunately had to take it apart to get it back home in a suitcase. 
And what party is complete with out a cupcake tower? My mom made the carrots that are on top of the carrot cupcakes. All I can say is that I have one talented mother.
The shower was a brunch...and there was so much delicious food! Glenna and Val really know how to do a spread. 
Against my better judgement I am posting this picture of myself, eating and looking rather large...but that's why we were all gathered right? 
And the best part about the shower was that I got to see so many of my friends that I haven't seen in forever. These are all girls that I grew up with in San Clemente, and they all have come back to California recently. It was so fun to catch up a little bit, and to just see everyone....Brooke (Chelsea's little sister), Chelsea, me, Taylor (cousin), Cori (cousin), Julie, Jenny, & Kristin with baby Jake.

I had to post this picture because my mom looks so freaking cute. Love you mom...and thanks for flying me out to California and playing all week!
When I was in California I also did a couple photo shoots that I will post when I am done editing the pics. There were a lot of pictures to go through because my subjects were so amazingly beautiful, so don't get impatient.

I wish I had been there! What an awesome baby shower and so fun to get back together with so many gal pals from SC. You look beautiful, by the way. I know you don't feel that way, but trust me, GLOWING!
Barbie wouldn't have been digging in the nut bowl, she would have been shaking the nut bag. Actually I think it was popcorn with nuts in it. That's it. She'd be shaking the popcorn-with-nuts-in-it bag.

So sad that I missed it, I need to call you... but basically spaced a HUGE young women's activity that morning and couldn't miss:( When you come into town again, call me and we will get another SC ladies reunion together!!

I'm so glad I wasn't there, and wow, you look horrible. The food looks tasteless and bland and it looks like it probably rained the whole time :)
And I wish I would've found out sooner to get my tush out there to party with you!! And hello baby belly!! How fun to see li'l Jack in utero! Guess I'll have to settle for seeing him ex utero. That's pretty good too.
That was such a FUN shower! What a fun time it was seeing everyone and just laughing about the good ol days! You look awesome by the way- I loved seeing your cute belly, and I am in agreement with you that you should have gotten the "jelly belly" candy and not the "chunky"- oh well, that game was fun anyway! Can't wait to see pics of Jaxon when he is born! (I think that was the name, right?)
That is the most fancy shower I have ever layed my eyes on! Val rules (it is probably due to the day that she is born or something). you look fabulous! CAn't wait to see the little pee-wee!!
