Well, this picture isn't actually from Halloween, but just cute...so I had to post it. When Ryan got home from work a couple of days ago, I gave him Jack so I could go take a shower. When I got out, this is what I found.

Now, on the Halloween. Obviously, this year was Jack's first Halloween. A couple of months ago, when my dad and I were out running some of my errands at Target, we found this skeleton outfit and hat. We thought it was so awesome we bought it, not knowing if it would even fit when Jack actually joined us. Well, we put it on last night, and it fit perfect, and looked awesome. These pictures don't even do the awesomeness justice, but it was a great costume!

Jack got sick of pictures fast, and wanted to go trick-or-treating. I told him he would have to wait till next year when he could hold up his own head, and walk.

My mom carved this cute li'l pumpkin right before the trick-or-treaters started coming to our door. She is so festive! we had cool purple and orange lights on our front porch too.
Jack's first Halloween was pretty fun, he slept through most of the activity, but still. Sarah (Bone Junior) came over as Tinky Winky, the purple Teletubby, and hung out with us too. If I was any kind of cool at all I would have taken a picture of her, but I didn't. We had fun just hanging out, eating dinner, having some tasty ice cream, and listening to all the funny stuff trick-or-treaters had to say to my mom, like...
Maggie: (answering the door when the bell rang) "Oh, it's the purple people eater!"
Sarah: "Actually, I'm Tinky Winky the purple Telletubby"
Maggie: "What a cute Barney costume that is"
3 year old, purple dragon: "I'm not Barney! I'm a dragon!" (looking totally offended, walked away with his piece of candy)
Maggie: "I love your sabor light sword!"
Young Jedi: " It's a LIGHT SABOR" (as he walked away, with a 'duh' look on his face)
And many times....kids would say..."I don't like THAT kind of candy" or "I wanted THAT piece of candy, not this one".
Kids these days, really.

What a fun Halloween !
And such an education for me from all the little Trick -or-Treaters !
Who Knew !
CUTE costume Jack! I'm sure he'll be able to hold his head up and trick or treat next year.
Love Jack's costume. He looks adorable. Having kids to dress up for Halloween sure adds more to the fun. He is so sweet and handsome.
Looooooooooooooove these pictures! ALL OF THEM. I want him!!! He is just sooooo cute! :) Glad you had a fun Halloween.. can't wait to see what costume Jack waddles around in next year :)
Oh Erin, Jack is so absolutely adorable and you look so happy it makes me all warm and fuzzy. I love the picture of Jack sleeping on Ryan. Classic. In the one of Jack sitting next to Ryan, he looks so alert and non-newborn like in his skeleton costume. I just love him already, I need to meet him NOW!
He looks SO cute!!! I wish we could have seen the little man in person. I hear skeletons like to hang out with monkeys and chubby banana's! Can't wait to see you again!
That's a great costume!! And I just love your mom's innocence- just tryin' to please the greedy candy kids! Darn those ingrates!
Can I just say how cute your mom is? I LOVE her!!! And seriously... that is the cutest little costume EVER. Poor Chuck :(... j/k you can tell he's secretly really proud of his new baby human. After all, it is HIS house that shelters him.
Erin, I love Jack's halloween costume. He is the cutest baby ever.
Just because he can't hold his head up is no excuse to leave him out of the trick-or-treat experience, you know. Look at that kid! He needs candy!!
Although if I were your mom and kids were saying stuff like that to me, I'd cut off their candy supply PRONTO and give it all to Jack. Because Jack would never back-talk. You can just tell.
And Jack needs it more--he's just skin and bones. Or mostly just bones. Or maybe the black just makes him look slim.
And I'm loving the red couch!!!
I can't believe that red hair -- it is marvelous!
