Jack is 2!

Oh my goodness! Another year has gone by. Why does time seem to go by so fast when you get older? I mean seriously, I just want Jack to grow up a little slower. I want him to be my little buddy forever. Here's whats happened this year...but first if you haven't seen this picture already, it's my favorite. My friend Mikki took our family pictures again this year, and I had her email a couple of them before we received the rest in the mail so I could make Jack's birthday invite. When this picture popped up on my screen after downloading I got a little choked up. My baby looks so grown up, and she captured him perfectly.
WHAT JACK HAS ACCOMPLISHED:
- learning to jump with both feet off the ground
- sleeping in a big boy bed
- getting all your teeth
- saying some words: mama, dad, tata (that means grandpa and grandma), YES, no, wow, whoa, and signing, more, all done, and drink
- making up some of your own sign language
- animal noises for a cat, dog, pig, horse, cow, snake, bugs, lion, bears and tigers, monkey, oh and an airplane (I know not an animal)
- running everywhere, and there being no such thing as walking
- knowing how to be the puppet master of the four adults that live in HIS house

WHAT I'VE ACCOMPLISHED:
- learning to be more stubborn than Jack, so I can stick to my guns

(Okay so this year wasn't as productive as last year, but this year wasn't full of as many firsts)

WHO JACK IS:
- so funny, and silly
- strong willed
- so smart
- great at anything physical
- active
- playful
- bright
- expressive
- confident
- resourceful

THINGS JACK LIKES:
- mommy and daddy
- LOVES grandmas and grandpas
- chocolate anything
- ice cream
- popsicles
- when anyone comes home from somewhere
- pizza
- trucks, tractors, and airplanes
- rocks
- animals
- watching movies (especially, right now, Stuart Little 1 & 2, Wall-e, Shrek 1 & 2, & Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs)
- eating popcorn when he wakes up from his nap
- his blue blankie
- playing on our iPhones and iPad (he knows how to do everything on them)
- anything that has to do with being outside

Happy Birthday Jack! I love you so much, and I can't believe how fast you've grown up. I feel so lucky to be able to be your mom, and I hope I can always be there for you in the ways you need me to be. Now, I can't wait to find what this next year brings!

I am in denial that any of our kids are getting bigger. They sure don't know how to follow the ultimate order, "STOP GROWING!" do they?

He used to be such a little Erin but I think he might be growing into a little RYAN! Some of those faces...

Give him a BIIIIIIG birthday hug from me and ask him to please stop growing, pretty please, with a cherry on top, until I see him next? Thank you.

Would it be to much to ask to have Grandpa in a picture or two???

Man Erin that kid is soooo cute. Even though I've never met him his personality shines through his pictures. I love the new 2 yr. pictures...the coloring is amazing. Hope he has a great Birthday!
