Jackson Grant

Thanks for being patient everyone, I finally feel good enough to sit on my really hard desk chair and post. 

Jackson has arrived! Jackson Grant arrived into this world on Wednesday, October 8, at 4:52 pm. He was 7 lbs 13 oz, and 21 inches long...with a full head of RED hair. I personally think he is so cute that you could probably just eat his face. Delivery was something else, and we will just leave it at that....I will spare you all the details, although I have probably told the greater majority of you. Anyway, it was all worth it, cause look what I got! The hospital I delivered at was AMAZING! as were all the nurses, especially my labor and delivery nurse. My doctor was pretty awesome too. 

Enough about all that though...meet my little dude...

Here he is just a couple of hours old, after his first bath. The nurse in the nursery gave him his first mohawk. I think she was just excited that there was a baby boy that actually had hair. 
 
I loved the little name sign they made for him in the nursery...in the spirit of Halloween and October. 

This is our first night home, Chuck really missed me...A LOT. He wanted to get on my lap, or on the Boppy, but I wouldn't let him so he settled for my leg. That cord coming off my lap is for the Bili Bed (like those beds with the blue lights that they have in the hospital, but a smaller take home version) that we had to use the first night home, because Jack had jaundice. He's all better now though. 

These pictures are from today. He is starting to be more alert when he is awake, so we can play with him more. He is a spirited little guy, and you can already tell a lot about his personality. 

And let me tell you...this little guy has got some big feet! Maybe he is going to be tall like his grandpa, great grandpa, and uncle Derek. After he was born and the doctors were cleaning him up the first thing they said (besides that he had a ton of hair) was, "Holy cow, this guy has huge feet!"
