So, I just had my last doctors appointment...and I have some really good news. I am going to be induced on my due date, October 8th, at 5 in the morning! I can't even tell you how freaking scared and excited at the same time that I am. Jack is running out of room in there though and making me really really uncomfortable. So, wish me luck, and keep me in your prayers. Feel free to give me a call too, it's gonna be a long day I have a feeling.

I'm so EXCITED for you!!! Can't wait to see little Jack. Just think, when it's all over, you get your BABY!
Hurray! I'm so glad it's here! Isn't it a relief to know that you will, in fact, get to have your baby and not have to be pregnant anymore?!!!
You know, despite all the horror stories I could tell of my own labors, despite all that, labor was actually pretty-- dare I say it-- fun. I mean, the day. The love of your life is there by your side, comforting and protecting you (I was so hormonal and paranoid I thought everyone was out to get me including hospital staff) but it was so exciting knowing I was having my baby. I pretty much remember every moment of my labor days (which I hear is kinda unusual) and I can tell you there is much to look forward to. And yes, I did have an epidural with Alex (which made it whole experience heavenly) but didn't have the option for an epidural for Rory, and it was STILL awesome! But the best part was the first night of having my amazing-smelling, precious baby sleeping on my chest and feeling her little body rise and fall with each little breath.
Good luck!!! I'm so excited to see pictures and hear all about it! I loved the post-birth/post-labor time in the hospital. It was such a great day...new baby, all your family around you. It's the best. Wish I could come visit you in the hospital. We love you!
Will you pleeeeease still call me on your way to the hospital?? And act all urgent-like?? And maybe make up some fun details...like, your water just broke in the dairy aisle while you were having a 4 AM craving for cream cheese and there were no pickles to be found so you dumped a gallon of milk on the floor and then as you tried to waddle away you slipped in the milk/water and crashed into the bread case, causing an avalanche of fresh blueberry muffins that nearly suffocated you and you just had to lie there, under the muffin mountain, until the janitor showed up and rescued you, and now you were in the back of his truck, racing to the hospital, trying to keep his mops and brooms from smacking you on the head, but you KNEW you had to call me on the way so you borrowed his cell phone and made my day.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
HOORAY!!! That's nice to know the end is in sight and WHEN!! I will surely be thinking of you! Happy happy joy joy!
yay! i have some baby gifts i ahve been saving that i need to send. i think i'm waiting to make sure it's really a boy. i can't wait to see him. he's going to be gorgeous.
Just remember that being induced is far easier when you have an epidural. No pressure, just something to keep in mind :)
Labor for me wasn't horrible and the over all experience was wonderful. Now that I think of it, I labored for almost 4 of my 6 hours w/ out any pain meds.
Luckily for you, there won't be any false alarms! I went in the night before Evie was born with "an irritable uterus"
You'll do great - I know it! Please let us know if you need anything at all..sentinels guarding the hospital room, the front door to your house, or diaper changers, etc.
Hi Erin, I dunno if you remember me, this is Steve Kolb, Lindsay's brother. I was just checking out my sister's blog and then your cousin Julia's blog, and I saw your blog. I was wondering if there is a way that I can get in touch with Derek. I haven't talked to him in years, and would like to. It'd be cool to talk to him. By the way, congrats!
