It is seriously amazing how fast babies grow and change. Tomorrow Jack will be 10 weeks old. And I have been informed that I need to post pictures more often, not just on special occasions. Plus, Jack looked so cute in this little number that Beth gave me from her store, Naartjie. Ryan is a little freaked out by the elephants on the onesy, but I still think this outfit is awesome.
So lately, Jack really likes looking at his hands. He puts them really close to his face and really studies them...like he is doing here. I think it's so cute, but I probably thing everything he does is cute. 
The other thing he does that I love, and we think is so funny, is after he is done eating and we come downstairs, the second we turn the corner from the stairwell, he starts looking upside down. He cranes his head backward, like he is missing something really exciting behind him. Whenever, I put him down on the floor to kick around, he loves to look behind him then too. He kind of gets a wrinkly forehead too, which, big surprise, I LOVE.
Also, we worked really hard to get our Christmas tree up before the holiday actually arrived (and by "we" I mean mostly my mom). My mom always does the prettiest tree, it looks like it should be in Pottery Barn or something...she has magical ways.

And there's Chuck himself. He's really hanging in there, and soaking in the ora of our Christmas tree. He's trying to survive on a quarter of the attention he got before Jack came along. Poor guy, he was sitting in this very spot a couple of mornings earlier, when the angel on the top of the tree came crashing down on top of him. I unfortunately was sitting in that chair also, and when the angel hit Chuck, Chuck hit me, in the head. Don't worry I used my cat-like reflexes to shield Jack from the scaredy cat and dive bombing tree angel.

SEE??! THOSE are NOT boring pictures to the rest of us! He looks like he's grown already - he's so alert and look at how red his hair is!! And, his lips!! And, HOW cute is he looking upside down??? I mean, seriously, I was NOT bored with seeing pictures of Jack again. And, I think he looks adorable in the elephants, even if they are a little... different ;) Love the pictures of the tree too .. and Chuck :) I feel like I'm with you by looking at these pictures and I LIKE IT. i love your posts! jack is soooo cute and this post just got me so excited to come and see you guys! promise that i get to hold him the whole time (unless you are feeding him of course, that might be a little weird) i can't wait!!!! and maggie's tree is beautiful :)

Jack is ADORABLE!! Wish you could have come to California to visit, but I totally understand. I love the pic where Jack is looking back at you. SO CUTE! Babies grow so fast you'll be shocked constantly.
One more thing.... Jack's lips are so CUTE! Give him a big smooch from me.
I love the elephant outfit! It makes his eyes dance. Or maybe that's the hair. Either way, he's too freakin adorable!! I'm with Beth...Jack pics are never boring. Post a few a day, please. Thankyouverymuch!
