So we went on a walk on Sunday with Jack. He's not really about holding hands with anyone while we walk. He is very independent and wants to do what he wants to do. Most of the time he was running in front of us, like this...
or running away from us... (he is pointing over at the parking lot across the street, that has LOTS of rocks in the planters between the parking spots. I think he thinks he is convincing us to cross the street to go get them, it didn't work.)
My mom trying to herd Jack. It didn't work. He's pretty fast.
I like him.
Don't worry, even though we didn't cross the street for the rocks in the other parking lot, we found rocks elsewhere.
Seriously, he never puts them down.
This is what happened when I tried to make him stop moving for a second so I could get a good picture of him. FIT. But don't worry, he still has his rocks.
Very self satisfied. And holding what? ROCKS!
He thought it was really funny when I would get in front of him a ways, sit down on the sidewalk, and wait for him to walk towards me. But instead of walking, he would run and I couldn't get a picture (except for this one). He would run right up to my camera and give it a kiss, and then keep on running.
Then randomly he decided to sit down on someones porch, I mean lay down. Again with the self satisfied grin. I think he likes throwing us off. We were cracking up at him.
Then he did his classic Jack face. I wish it was straight on so you could really see it, but he does it all the time. He uses it for surprised, for 'look at that', for excited, for 'oh my gosh'. I think I may have taught him the face, I find myself doing it all the time, or maybe I do it all the time because of him. Who knows. But I love it!
And last, but certainly not least...using a flower as a tool on an electrical box. Silly us not bringing some sort of tool for him on our walk, but leave it to Jack to turn anything he can into a tool. He is trying to fit the stem into a hole with a screw in it, and concentrating very hard. Did I mention I really REALLY like him?

Oh my goodness. I like him, too. I also like your Jack-herder. And your Jack-picture-taker. And I LOVE his hair. Can you please get him into some baby shampoo commercial or something? Those locks should not go to waste!
But the real question might be , "What is not to like about Jack?" He is very cute, just like you.
Isn't funny how they just take to something?? And your mom is a cute herder- that made me laugh!
I love him and his rocks. He is so freakin' cute!!!!! I love his faces - the OOOOH one and the smirk when he's walking toward you and the concentration look while using a flower screwdriver!! :) ha ha ha. ADORABLE.
He's scrumptious.
I love these pictures. He is getting so big. And so handsome. I love how the green grass and his hair are so vibrant. I have this secret love of redheads. I love that he loves rocks too. My boys are constantly lugging them around. I'm always finding them in pockets. Its so funny.
So how are you? I hope all is well. Tell Andi she needs to invite me to her blog!
Erin, you are becoming such an amazing photographer, you have such a gift. Your boy is BEAUTIFUL too and you crack me up. Miss you!
