Dodie married Darrel, they had Denny and Diane. Denny married Tina, and Diane married Dick. Dick and Diane had Derek, Deanna, Devon, and Danielle. Darrel Died. Dodie married married Doobie. Doobie died dancing. Dodie married Bob, and Bob almost died at Thanksgiving.

But you forgot to say how Bob almost died at Thanksgiving and you had to hide the chinet plates so the ambulance guys wouldn't "think anything".
